About Hanna Family Tree
INTRODUCTION:

The origin of Hanna family emanated from the progency or descendents of an Arab Yemenite tribe (Al-Gassasinah) who embraced or adopted the Christianity and emigrated to Saudi Arabia and from there to East of Jordan and resided at Karak & Shobak villages.

The above Arab tribe is spread in Lebanon, Palestine and Syria .

The story or the historical emigration to Palestine and how Hanna arrived to Rama village in the Galilee and resided there; this story is appended hereunder:-

Hanna and his four brothers who resided at Karak & Shobak villages in East of Jordan were proprietors of planted lands with wheat and barley.

Another five brothers used arbitrarily to pasture their sheep & goats' herds in the barley of Hanna and his brothers' land. One day of a drought or aridity year, the arbitrarian brothers allowed to their sheep & goats' herds to pasture the wheat instead of the barley. Hanna and his brothers got wildly agitated and asked them to pasture their sheep & goats' herds in the barley , but the arbitrarian brothers refused their suggestion.

As a result of this behaviour, Hanna and his brothers conferred and decided to shoot them to death a day after , and this what happened and the five arbitrarian brothers fell dead.

Hanna and his brothers were displaced to different places in Palestine and Syria as follows:-
One was displaced to Syria and his news were disconnected , another resided at Taybeh village of Ramallah district, the third brother resided in Jaffa town (unknown), the fourth resided in Gazza town and his family is titled the Jewellers, and the last fifth brother named Hanna resided at Rama village in the Galilee.

Since the year 1948 part of the family moved to Lebanon, U.S.A. ,Australia, Egypt, Switzerland and France spread as follows:-

Part of the descendents of Yaacoub the son of our first grandfather Hanna and specifically the priest Father Yaacoub Hanna Yaacoub El-Hanna who left Rama together with his family resided and died in Beirut in Lebanon .The son of his brother Ayoub whose name is Fouad left Rama to Lebanon and from there to the U.S.A.

The late Moussa Issa Suliman Ayoub El-Hanna also moved together with his family to Lebanon and died there. All his sons: Wajeeh, Hanna and Issa together with their families are residing in the USA. His sister-in-law named Turkieh Yaacoub Hanna wife of Suliman Issa Hanna together with her daughter Nawal are residing in Jordan.
The two sons of Suliman Issa Hanna: Issa and Nabil are residing in the USA, their father died and burried at Rama.

The late Suhail Nasser Raji Nasser Ibrahim El-Hanna is the only son from the descendents of Ibrahim - son of Hanna the founder of the family who moved to Lebanon and from there to Olympia city in the U.S.A. where he died . His brother Samir Nasser Raji Nasser Ibrahim El-Hanna stayed at Rama and after 1948 by several years, he travelled to the USA to complete his academic studies there. He has two houses one in Seattle and the other at Rama moving in between. Besides, the elder cousin of Suhail and Samir, the late Michael Kamel Raji Nasser Ibrahim El-Hanna moved together with his family to Perth city in Australia where he resided and died there.

The five sons of Khalil Daoud Khalil Daoud El-Hanna who died in Haifa city also emigrated to Perth city in Australia.

The late Karam Habib Youssef Hanna moved together with his family to Lebanon and after decades of residence there, paid a visit to his origin Rama ,died and burried in it. His son Sohail died in Lebanon, Ziad resided in Cairo, Walid resided in the US.A. and his daughter Lamis resided in Lebanon.

The sons of Najib Habib Youssef Hanna moved to:
Kamal in Lebanon, Jamal in the U.S.A.,and Fouad died in the U.S.A.

Sabri Badea Hanna is residing in Switzerland, Elham Habib Shukri Hanna is residing in France, her brothers Muneef and Shukri are residing in Australia, while Afeef her third brother died in the USA.

Elias Shukri Yaacub El-Hanna left Rama in the year 1948 after the demolishion of his house by the Israeli army, resided in Lebanon where he died. His son Samir left Lebanon and resided together with his family in the USA where he died.

The rest of all brothers and their descendents of the above-mentioned remained at Rama village.

HANNA FAMILY TREE – THE ROOTS, HISTORY & ITS RESIDENCE AT RAMA VILLAGE OF THE GALILEE

First Research:-
 ----------------
The name of Hanna the 1st founder of Hanna family who resided at RAMA village in the Galilee is: Hanna Yaacoub Hanna EL-SAYEGH.

Revealing the names of Hanna four brothers –founder of our family at Rama may lead to their descendands' residences a matter which is considered to us as more important than to the preceeding great grandfather El-Sayegh, being more closer to us, notwithstanding the research after El-Sayegh, is also very important to us.
Therefore,I've started in my research after Hannas brothers' names and addressed my questions to our relatives in Gazza, Lebanon and those from Taybeh of Ramallah district and especially after the person who started to form their tree ,but unfortunately he left to the U.S.A. & the contacts with his relatives from Taybeh failed to trace his telephone number or his E/Mail. The other two sources to discover Hanna four brothers' names also did not succeed or were unknown to them according to their records.

Therfore, relying on the fact that one of the four brothers of HANNA who displaced his residence & resided in Ghazza is from El-Sayegh family to whom we've got acquainted, and being the website master of Hanna tree ,I have started my recent research specifically in the year 2010 after El- Sayegh family to whom we relate & in order to prove that Hanna is coming from the same family El- Sayegh .

Through my contacts with one of the very known notables of a Jordanian village of the El-Sayegh family whose roots go back also to El-Ghasasena Yemenite tribe, I've discovered a very old tree painted & drawn on the wall of his house by his great grand- fathers which can be seen in the above tree photo. This tree was photographed & brought to me, and after checking its contents , the conclusion was that there are several names similar to our grand fathers as: Yaacoub, Hanna, Nasser, Ibrahim, Youssef,Suliman & Moussa.

Due to the non-continuity of these names(it seems that the descendants did not follow up ) inorder to put it UP-TO-DATE, therefore, I could'nt consider it as authenticated vis-à-vis the coincidence of Hanna's full name mentioned before coming from El-Sayegh family.

Due to the above reason ,the tree was added in the website as subsidiary not fully authenticated text, for perusal although it is very possible that we relate to it, and I shall try to prove that in my second research.

Second Research:-
 -----------------
It is important to mention that in my last contact to one of Jaffa citizens of "EL-SAYEGH" family , who was the person who led me to the owner of their family tree in Jordan, he clarified the following:-

1-The name of their family El-Sayegh as a craft was not practiced by his family in Jaffa nor by their grandfathers in Syria ,as well as, their relatives El-Soyyagh from Gazza. It is a very old name before his father left Syria to Jaffa leaving El- Sayegh family there.

2-He also added that they relate to El-Sayegh old family from Gazza , as a proof to this information ,he informed me that in the year 1948 part of their family in Jaffa town joined to live with the same family of El-Sayegh in Gazza who are our relatives too.

3-It is worthwhile to mention that his brother had told me that their first great grandfather's origin was not Syria but Jordan.

4-In my introduction I've mentioned that two Hanna brothers resided at Taybeh of Ramallah district and the other in Gazza named El-Soyyagh. We've got acquainted to both who had narrated the same story of their emigration from Karak&Shobak villages in Jordan, as mentioned in the introduction ,while the two others who resided in Jaffa town and in Syria were unknown to us.

5-You can see the coincidence of the information stated in the above three paragraphs together with the El-Sayegh family tree of Jordan added as a separate text in the left side of the introduction & by studying thoroughly the branches of this tree , you can observe that one of El- Sayegh posterity named "MARWAN" emigrated to Gazza.

Furthermore, my conclusion didn't stop at this point and in my third research, I shall clarify more and prove our relation to El-Sayegh family tree of Irmemeen in Jordan.

Third Research:-
 ----------------
In order to prove that we relate to the Jordanian family tree of Irmemeen village, I ought to prove that El-Sayegh family from Gazza to whom we relate is coming from the same roots, especially , as said before MARWAN EL-SAYEGH who appeared in it resided in Gazza, and after proving this, I can say that this evidence is authenticated.

(For your information all the names , E/Mails & mobile telephone numbers of the under-mentioned contacted persons has been typed & reserved separately in my records& appear in the Arabic text of the tree as reference &evidence for me and for all the Hannas).

It is important to mention that in my contact to one of Jaffa citizens and as a conclusion of this fact mentioned in the first paragraph above, I've contacted one of El-Sayegh family in Gazza who informed me that he together with his father have visited Irmemeen village in Jordan in the year 1997 in order to participate in the wedding celebration & party of his brother there. His father assured to him that they relate to the same family El-Sayegh of Irmemeen & coming from the same roots, therefore, he invited them to his son's wedding ceremony & party.

He added too, that as far as he remember, the number of the brothers who displaced their residence from Jordan were four or five brothers: part of them resided in Palestine ( i.e. Taybeh of Ramallah district, Gazza & Rama ), while the others resided in Syria (Belad El-Sham) & Lebanon, this last one mentioned ,is probably the father or grandfather of the five brothers from whom the information of Irmemeen family tree was reported .
Notwithstanding our acquaintance to one of El-Sayegh family of Gazza as stated before, the above information is considered an authenticated evidence of our relation to Gazza & Irmemeen El-Sayegh family, as one,and emanating from the same root.

Despite this fact, it was not considered by me as fully authenticated evidence, therefore, I've transmitted to him a letter through his E/Mail attaching to it El-Sayegh family tree of Irmemeen , requesting him to check with the oldest man of their family confirming to me in writing that "MARWAN" EL-SAYEGH who appears in this tree is their first great grand-father who resided in Gazza as shown in this tree.

On the 7th of October,2010, a reply to my E/Mail was received by him confirming the above story in writing, adding that regarding Marwan's authentication request, he has forwarded my question together with the said tree to the oldest man in his family whose age is 85 years & mayor (Mukhtar) of the Christian community in Gazza in order to transmit to me his answer through his son's E/Mail and this is in case he knows or heared from his ascendants about Marwan's emigration to Gazza. It Is worthy to mention that there is one family named EL-Sayegh in Gazza.

This son mentioned in the above previous paragraph, is the second person from Gazza's El-Sayegh family with whom I've phoned up. He also assured that they relate to Irmemeen El-Sayegh family, and had visited them together with his father El-Mukhtar of the Christian community in Gazza mentioning that even there is a spring named "El-Sayegh Spring".

It is worthy to add too that the age of the information in Ermemeen family tree ranges between 500-600 years, therefore and although it is very clear as shown in this tree that "MARWAN " was the only and the first person whose destinated residence was Gazza, it will be difficult to prove that he is their first Great Grandfather , except if this information had been mentioned & passed from grand fathers to their sons &/or if it was registered in their records. In my second telephonic conversation with the Mukhtar's son, he expressed his doubts whether his old father can afford an authenticated answer, being sick and of weak memory, but he is doing all his best and endeavors in refreshing his memory in order to obtain the required authenticated answer.

Therefore, all the previous telephonic conversations and the evidences in writing through my E/Mail have sufficed me to be fully convinced considering them as authenticated information.

The estimation also is that the person who left Syria in the year 1930 heard from his old grand fathers of the occurance of one of their relatives who resided there & of the story of the displaced five brothers mentioned before in my introduction, which is considered the reason of choosing Jaffa as his new residence.

In order to prove this estimation, I've contacted on the 14th of October,2010 the same son of the person who resided in Jaffa in 1930 & who died , this son confirmed again their relation to El-Sayegh family in Gazza, as well as , his acquaintance to Father Youssef El-Sayegh from Jordan , whose story of repeated visits to the late El-Khoury Yaacoub El-Hanna will be stated in the following paragraphs and under the heading "Hanna & El-Sayegh relation to El- Ghasasena", also assured that the Archbishop of Amman originally from Irmemeen named Salim El-Sayegh is known to him and both are their relatives and came from the same root.

Furthermore, I've initiated on the 20th of October ,2010 another telephonic conversation for the first time with the eldest brother of the two mentioned before , who added a very important information said: " El-Sayegh brothers who had displaced their residence in Jordan (the reason of which was mentioned in the introduction&which was not reported to him),were worried from the revenge of the Emir who relate to the killed brothers being from his tribe.

Besides ,he pronounced an estimated date of his story saying: "This event is before 200-250 years, a date which coincided with my estimation of Hanna's residence at Rama i.e.(1750 approximately). These two information coincided with the story & timing of the five brothers mentioned in the introduction and recruited the fact that their great grand father is the brother of Hanna the first.

He also believe that El-Sayegh family in Nazareth emanate from the same origin & part of them had changed their surnames due to their old history and the increase of their posterity , exactly as we did.

The above information and research leads to an authenticated conclusion that El-Sayegh family from: Rama i.e.(Hanna), Taybeh of Ramallah district, Gazza, Syria, Jaffa, Irmemeen & even Lebanon emanated from the same root of El-Ghasasena & of the same origin & are therefore relatives relating also to Irmemeen family tree.

My research was not ended or stopped at this point for the following reason: I have approached to 100% &even possibly to the full proof that the persons with whom I contacted from Jaffa are the descendants of Hanna's brother who resided in Syria, this is in addition to my father's discovery of Hanna's brother who resided in Taybeh of Ramallah district & the story of the five brothers which was reported by them to my father which led me to continue & achieve these important researches& the third brother was discovered by my brother who met one of Gazza's Sayegh chaps in the year 1967 in Tiberias, thus proving the discovery of three of Hanna's brothers' descendants i.e.( 4 out of 5 brothers ) & remained to prove the present residence of the descendants of Hanna's brother who resided in Jaffa in the middle of the eighteenth century according to my estimation.

For proving this, I have contacted one of El-Sayegh family of those who displaced their old residence in Jaffa in the year 1948 ,as stated before , and resided in Ramallah town.

His age is 65 years, claimed that they did not reside in Jaffa, but they are relatives to El- Sayegh family from Irmemeen in Jordan and to El-Sayegh family in Gazza, his cousin Salim Amin El- Sayegh is residing at El-Khanouk quarter in Nazareth while the son of this last mentioned is residing in Jaffa.

A very important declaration was pronounced by him ,when he assured that their origin is from Karak& Shobak villages in Jordan, but before interrupting our talk, he directed me to contact one of his relatives of El-Sayegh family from Ramallah 95 years old & who is still in his full conscious & memory & have a very old book about their historical origin being more well- informed than himself.

Therefore, I've contacted this old person& in this conversation, the questions which were raised through his daughter's E/Mail are as follows:-

1-What is the estimated year of his first great-grand father who resided in Jaffa?? Answered: " My full name is :Sobhi Khalil Jubran Mikhael Youssef Nasser Sayegh MARWAN Ayoub SAYEGH the eldest Great Grand Father who relates to EL-SAYEGH old Tribe. We left Irmemeen and resided in Nazareth in the year 1792 &before hence in the year 1578 five brothers left Syria to different places from them one to Lebanon & the well-known MARWAN (see Irmemeen tree) resided in Gazza- Palestine. My Grand father Mikhael left Nazareth & resided in Jaffa in the year 1934 & in the year 1948 we left Jaffa to our present residence in Ramallah.

About Youssef the father of Mikhael &in my telephonic conversation with him of the 8th of December,2010 , his records cannot reveal whether he had resided in Jaffa in the Middle of the eighteenth century ,especially he is equivalent to our HANNA the 1st in the series of names, because I wanted to know the residence of the descendents of this last brother of Hanna the 1st who resided in Jaffa according to the story stated in the introduction , probably he is the one Iam searching to be Hanna's brother.

2-In which country or town he resided originally before his residence in Jaffa?? Answered: " Irmemeen in Jordan ".

3-Is it a craft that he had practiced, or it is an old name? Answered: " No . It is a very old name and according to the story of our history written in a book which I own, a person who lived with one of El-Ghasasena kings in the fifth century who was literate in composition was writing to the king his letters &delivering to him the address or speech , as this custom was conducted in this era. This person became very close and familiar to the king who subjoined him to his dependant collaterals, therefore, when he was absent from the king's sessions he was asking : "where is El-Sayegh ?".

The meaning of the person who literates composition in Arabic is Sayegh i.e. "Yasougholkalam " and according to the English dictionary it means "to coin the word". This information was one of the most important that I have received in order to prove that the name Sayegh had no relation to the word jewler or to jewelry as a craft ".

4-Is his family the relatives to El-Sayegh families of Jaffa & to the persons who came from Syria with whom I've proved their relation to us , to Irmemeen in Jordan , to Taybeh of Ramallah district & to Gazza (all of El-Sayegh old family) ???

Answered : Yes and this had been explained in the previous paragraphs i.e. Jaffa's ,Ghaza's, Syrian who followed their relatives in Gazza,Nazareth &Ramallah's Soyagh all declared their relation to each others as relatives coming from the same root and to Irmemeen in Jordan.

5-Is the Archbishop of Amman Salim El-Sayegh originally from Irmemeen and Father Youssef El- Sayegh of Jordan are from his same origin and are his relatives ? Answered: It is obvious from the preceding research that "YES" they are from the same root and relatives.

In all the previous researches including this one , we conclude the following:- Rama, Taybeh of Ramallah district, Jaffa, Nazareth, Ramallah, Syria, Gazza, Irmemeen and Lebanon all are relatives and coming from Yemen and from El-Ghasasena famous tribe.

CONCLUSION:-
Notwithstanding my non assurance to trace the descendants residence of Hanna's brother who resided in Jaffa in the eighteenth century and is left to the meeting surprises which may lead in future to the fact we are searching for , but this conclusion leads to the assured fact that all El-Sayegh families including the very big American community of El-Sayegh & in other countries in the world, that only those who are not coming from El-Sayegh word in its meaning as Jewlery, are relatives and are coming from the same root as mentioned before.

HANNA and EL-SAYEGH relationship to El-Ghasasena:-
 --------------------------------------------------
It is worthwhile to mention too that the information about HANNA Family origin being coming from El-Ghasasena tribe of Yemen, was heard & repeated by our fathers & grandfathers at our present residence RAMA & from the late Father Yaacoub El-Hanna , whose records revealed that : "the priest named father Youssef El-Sayegh from Jordan was visiting him at RAMA , as well as , in BEIRUT & was repeating all the time that we are from their family".
Furthermore ,his said references assured that we emigrated from Yemen & our roots actually emanate from El-Ghasasena tribe.

It is worthy to add also that El-Sayegh i.e.( the Jewelers ) as a craft was not practiced after they had displaced their residence to Ghazza ,but it was a very old name before ,and this phenomenon can be verified when detecting in their mentioned tree and in the above mentioned telephonic conversations and researches which are considered as enough proof to this historical and assured relation to the El-Ghasasena Yemenite Arab tribe of Yaaroub Ben Kahtan.

After I've expatiated elaborately about the recent history of Hanna the 1st whose expected residence at RAMA was on the middle of the 18th century, compared with a very old history of his 1st origin, I have to go back from date of his expected birth about 15 century to his roots of the Yemenite tribe of EL-GHASASENA from whom he descended or emanated from, clarifying in brief their history.

EL-GHASASENA OR AL-JAFNA I.E.THE KIN OF JAFNA:-
 -------------------------------------------------
The meaning of the Arabic word Ghassan is: " the vigor or prime of youth & the very beautiful face ,while the meaning of the Arabic word the kin of Jafna is: "the family of grapevine", but the real reason for their name "EL-GHASASENA" is as follows :-

After the eruption of Ma'areb barrier in the year 300 A.D. , they emigrated to the north and resided in Tohama in the southern side of the Semi-Arabian Island near a water spring named "GHASSAN" .

It is a Yemenite original progency who abandoned its land after the overflow of Ma'reb barrier in the third century ,when most Arab tribes moved to the north starting from Saudi-Arabia & from there settled in (Horan-Syria) ,East of Jordan ,Phoenician Lebanese land &in Palestine.

These four countries were named in the ancient times "BELAD EL – SHAM i.e. The lands of SHAM (EL – SHAM is the second name of Syria's capital DAMASCUS).

They embraced or adopted the Monofozia Christianity in the 5th century & acted in the Byzantian Army or the Roman Eastern Empire Army whose old capital was Byzantium or Constantinople named after the Emperor Constantine & today named Istanboul & (EL-ASETANA before it was named Byzantium) .They defended the Syrian borders.

Their most famous king is AL-HARETH BEN JABLA(529 - 581)who fighted AL-LAKHMEYYEEN on Haleemeh Day & killed their famous king AL-MONTHER the 3rd AL-LAKHMEY son of MA'A ESSAMA i.e. Sky's water (514-554).

The kings or Emirs of El-Manathera of El-Ghasasena kin are four: The most famous of them is AL- MONTHER the 3rd (569-581) who fighted AL-LAKHMEYYEEN & after he defeated KABOUS son of EL-MONTHER the 3rd Al-Lakhmey mentioned before in the battle of Ein–Abagh in the year 570 ,he burned their capital El-Heera in the year 580.
He was exiled by the Byzantians to Sicily.

It is worthwhile to mention that El-Ghasasena are one of the most famous pure Yemenite origin of El-Areba Arab tribes of El-Kahtani'een & this in addition to El-Adnani'een both composed most of the Arabs starting from the Arab Bay up to the Atlantic ocean.

El-Ghasasena emanated from Amr Ben Mazen from El-Azd tribe who is subdivision of Kahlan sept from the Yemenite Southern tribe of El-Kahtani'een. This Kahlan tribe is one of four septs of Ya'arob Ben Kahtan from whom the Arabs' name came.

THE MONOFOZIA BELIEF:-
 ----------------------
It is a Christian heresy or unorthodoxy belief developed in the 5th century and Professed in one nature of JESUS CHRIST. Its important leaders were OTEEKHA from Constantinople & Deyosforos from Alexandria.
This Monofezia was excommunicated by the Chalcedoinian Ecumenical Synod & its belief had been rectified or put in order by Saweeros from Antakia.
